Baking on a snowy day.

My sister and I decided today would be a good oportunity to bake some cake pops and decorate them, being a nice wintry day it gave us something to do, I felt like having a break from designing so this seemed like a perfect thing to do.
The actual baker was £20 from Argos, you can create 12 cakes at a time and you get 50 little sticks as well as tools which make everything really simple. Nothing is complicated except the decorating depending on how adventurous you are ( I burnt the chocolate on the first attempt too) My sister is a real perfectionist so we're going to have fun creating lots of designs and whatnot for the future, We're currently planning a surprise birthday party which these will be perfect for!

For our first attempt I think we did well, we played it a little safe but i also enjoyed plodding around snapping pictures and editing them after! I've really enjoyed this snowy weather and it's given me lots of chances to get out with my camera which i love!

A few of the images I went out to take over the last few days.

Personalised Matchbook Favours

I've been busy creating these lovely personalised favor matchbooks for you, Laced with Forget me not seeds these Matchbooks are a great treat for your guests to take and remember your special day. They don't have to be used as Favours, you can also personalise them as SAVE THE DATE Matchbooks.

What you need to do
  1. Supply you and your partners names
  2. Let me know the date you're getting married
  3. Choose one colour from the Chart for all of your cards
  4. Let me know of any other information you may like.

What I do

  1. As soon as I receive your order you will then be emailed a photo proof within 24 hours with your chosen colour and words to approve, Once you are happy with your design I will process your order.
  2. Your boxes will then be cut and folded.
  3.  I will then sprinkle a few "forget me not seeds" in the Glassine Envelopes inside the Matchbook,
  4. They will then be packaged and sent for you to give out to your guests, Don't be surprised if there are a few extra books in there for you to keep to remember the day!
Some more images for you to see

Notes: We all have different computer monitors, this means the colour you're seeing may vary slightly on your printout, Colours are printed closely but not identically, Your cards are scored to fold, which means colours will crack slightly on their creases.
Glassine envelopes are made from pure pine wood cellulose which is 100% recyclable.the glassine is transparent,anti-static,chlorine and acid free and does not contain chemical softeners.Seed is a live product which depends on many important related grower skills such as proper planting time, seed depth, type of soil, watering, proper use of fertilizers, weed controls, fungicides, insecticides, disease free soil, and reasonable weather conditions during the growing period, As this is a personalised  card i cannot offer a refund

PPQ

I'm a big lover of PPQ, my all time favourite collection is Autumn/Winter 2011/12, I illustrated a few of their pieces which caught the eye of their designer, Amy.

I eventually got invited to their most recent show and took some photos to take home and illustrate, I loved taking the time to create a watercolour dress and using hot pinks as a pop of colour, as i used the red lipstick in my previous drawings i felt like they needed a bright colour. Drawing the dress took me a few attempts,

Happy new year to you all! I hope it’ll be a good one, There are lots of things i’m planning to do this year, these are the three main goals.
1. Design and create more cushions, interiors.
2. Attend more Art Fairs/with artwork etc
3. Build up wedding portfolio and clients

I've been working on repeat patterns for some of my cushion designs, as you may know last year i designed a feather cushion which i loved, however i was limited with colours as i decided to go with a screen printers, There are many pros and cons with any printing method, but i'm eager to try out digital methods now, with various fabrics, weights and designs! So that's exciting,

Wedding Commission

I recently completed a commision for a teacher who used to tutor me briefly in Highschool! This is what i’ve illustrated for her and her family! she will also be getting it printed on canvas! How great :) I kept all the colours quite neutral with a dominant grey scale theme as not to intrude with settings they'd be placed, A few of these illustrations were being given as gifts so i was conscious of making the colour scheme unobtrusive.
